Still good…
I once heard someone say we tend to forget that God is still good and is able to save and deliver us when we go through trials and tribulations. It's easy to forget His goodness and that He's in control of every situation and circumstance. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 24:1: "The earth is the Lord’s, and all that is in it, the world, and all who live in it." This means nothing is out of His control; He's not surprised by events. They didn’t catch Him by surprise, leaving Him scrambling to figure things out or trying to find a solution.
Now we may not always understand His reasoning for allowing certain outcomes, and we may not always get the results we hoped for, but one fundamental truth remains: we can trust His character. We know that He's good, faithful, unchanging, sovereign, and near. We might struggle to believe those attributes when we're walking through dark valleys, trials, and tribulations, but if we look back, we'll see how He's always been a good friend. He stays in control and draws close to the brokenhearted during trials. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart. And He saves those who are broken in spirit." More often than not, we will feel lost and confused; we may get bruised and scared, but even when life is hard, God is still good; we can still trust and have faith in the uncertainties; for with him we will always be more than conquerors.
