Never Alone: The Gift of the Holy Spirit

Since moving in March, life has been a whirlwind, keeping me away from this page. By God’s grace, I’ve regained my rhythm and can return to my calling. Sunday’s church service was a blessing. I asked the Holy Spirit that morning, “Lord, what do You want me to write about this week?” The answer came clear throughout the day. I listened to Pastor David Jeremiah’s message about the Holy Spirit. During worship, we sang Oceans, focusing on His leading. Then, with our pastors away, church leader Sandi Hankins also preached about the Holy Spirit. I knew then what the Lord wanted me to share.

Did you know that if you’re a Christian, the Holy Spirit lives inside of you? You may not always feel it or understand it, but it’s true. Jesus promised His disciples:

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.” John 14:16

Understanding His presence and power can completely transform how we navigate daily life. Here are a few incredible truths about the Holy Spirit:

He is a Person – The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, possessing intellect, emotions, and will.

He is Our Helper – Jesus described Him as “another Helper,” meaning One exactly like Himself, sent to be with us forever.

He Promotes Jesus – His mission is always to glorify Christ and point people toward Him.

He Provides Strength – He comes alongside us, empowering us to face life’s challenges with courage and confidence.

He Leads Us Into Truth – He teaches us, guides us, and reminds us of God’s Word.

He Intercedes for Us – When we don’t know what to pray, He prays on our behalf.

He Never Leaves – Unlike in the Old Testament, where the Spirit would come upon individuals temporarily, every believer now has the permanent indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit from the moment of salvation.

Isn’t that encouraging?

To know that you have a permanent Helper, Comforter, Teacher, and Guide who is only a prayer away brings such peace and joy to my heart. I don’t know about you, but I find so much comfort in knowing that He is present, active, and faithfully leading my life every step of the way.

What a gift we have in the Holy Spirit. 💛
