The Evidence…

In a courtroom, evidence helps establish what is true. Witnesses testify. Facts are presented. And the evidence gives us a reason to believe.

Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”

But what do we do when we can’t see what God is doing?

Life can hit us out of nowhere and leave us scrambling for answers. We ask, “God, why? What happens next? Will things change? Will You come through for me? How long will this last?” Fear starts presenting its own case, filling our minds with worst-case scenarios. In those moments, believing that God is working behind the scenes can feel like a battle.

When that happens, look back at the evidence already presented in your life. Remember the doors God opened, the strength He gave you when you thought you had none, and the times He carried you through what you didn’t think you could survive. Your testimony reminds us of His faithfulness.

God is good, even when your current situation isn’t. He can use this season to grow and transform you, even as you wait for answers. You may not see the way forward yet, but you have seen His goodness before. And the God who came through for you then has not stopped working now.

So when fear asks, “What if He doesn’t?” let your testimony speak: Look at what He’s already done. “The evidence,” and believe He will make a way; He will never fail you.
